Yes I have seen someone with similar complaints in my practice.
I would encourage Mary to express all her fears, validate them and help her see that she is fatigued and burned out.
I would encourage a longer period out of work without the children if possible.
The work place might benefit from regular and frequent debrief of the healthcare providers to create greater cohesion in the workplace to protect themselves and know that others have their back.
I would want to handle her sleep problems with sleep hygiene and imagery an maybe medication initially to help start the process.
To avoid her loosing interest in nursing, I would want CBT to enable her initiate behaviours to cognitive prompts that are more protective.
