I think the young woman is having panic attacks on a background generalised anxiety disorder.
I would ensure there are no biological causes such as thyrotoxicosis.
I would help her make a link between her fears and her symptoms so as not to enter a negative spiral that strengthens her negative biological response.
I would provide information of how she can keep safe and increase her self efficacy to do this, while teaching her relaxation exercises eg dragon breaths.
I would also recommend CBT is the facility is available to learn new ways of coping with stress.
